- Begin with a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and “House on stilt” at the same area with the Presidential Palace and the famous One Pillar Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on every Monday and Friday)
- Make a trip to Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam to discover historic buildings from the Ly and Tran dynasties in a revered place that has seen thousands of doctors’ graduate in what has now become a memorial to education and literature
- Spend time on the interesting Ethnology Museum (the museum is closed on every Monday) which helps you understand detailedly about the country’s 54 ethnic groups in terms of colorful hill-tribe costumes, weaving designs, musical instruments, fishing implements, work tools and fascinating examples of minority housing

- Transfer to Halong Bay by a shuttle bus from the cruise and enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta along the road

Our organisor at Viet Prestige (Hoa Pham) was brilliant from start to finish. She designed and arranged our 15 day tour through Vietnam & Cambodia and our expectations were exceeded in every way. She was always in contact before (and during) the trip to ensure everything was going smoothly and also went far and beyond the call of duty when my wife left her coat in a minibus coming back from Halong Bay.
