DETAILED ITINERARY
  • Welcome your family to the first day of the Phong Nha Family Holiday within 3 days departing from Hanoi
  • In the evening, transfer with our guide and driver to the Hanoi train station where your trip to Phong Nha begins
  • Get on an overnight train on private 4-berth cabins from Vietnam’s capital city to take 10 hours to the Dong Hoi city of Quang Binh province
  • Dong Hoi City: located approximately 500 kilometres from Hanoi with charming beaches at the ocean and the starting point for exploring Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park
  • Overnight Train: fully-equipped cabins featuring air-conditioning, reading lights, comfortable beds; available with high-speed internet, restrooms, toiletries and hot/cold water as well as snacks

  • In the morning, reach Dong Hoi train station where your family will be picked up by private driver to transfer to Phong Nha
  • Paradise Cave: Located in the spectacular Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park & surrounded by forested karst peaks, it is the home to the 360-million-years-old rock formations with the 31km long
  • Climb up more than 400 stairs to explore the Paradise Cave on a wooden walkway and take one-kilometer walk through the well-lighted cave
  • Continue your family adventure with Mooc Spring whose water is a striking light blue color
  • Take a short walk over bamboo bridges and scramble over some large rocks to reach a refreshing swimming hole where your kids can enjoy lots of interesting activities like swimming, kayaking, fishing, etc.
  • Have lunch and head back the hotel for a rest and overnight

  • In the morning, transfer to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, one of the world’s two largest limestone regions and is the oldest major karst in Asia, to take a private boat for the 2.5 km cruise down the Son River to the mouth of the cave
  • Phong Nha Cave: first “discovered” in 1899 for military purposes as a hospital to store and hide equipment during Vietnam War and known as the longest wet cave or river cave in the world
  • Pass by the entrance to the ‘Cave of Teeth and Wind’ and enter the mystical tunnels, filled with giant stalactites and stalagmites and crystal clear waters

  • Depart from Phong Nha to discover the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) an established dividing line to separate North Vietnam and South Vietnam after the Indochina war
  • Drop by Hien Luong Bridge – the significant historical witness in Vietnam War – made of wood with 2-metre wide piles of iron in 1928 but rebuilt by the French by 1950 due to military needs
  • Stop off at the Vinh Moc tunnels and the Ben Hai River Museum to understand the history of tunnels as well as plenty of fascinating photos and artifacts described by a superb guide
  • Continue your family trip with other options to explore Hue Imperial Citadel, Hoian Ancient Town, Mekong Delta or Indochina trips.
