Leaving Halong Bay, fly to Luang Prabang, Laos for the next part of the exploration. A sightseeing tour for family will lead you through Royal Palace Museum, Wat Xieng Thong, Mount Phousi, the Arts and Ethnology Centre, Kuang Si Waterfall, Pak Ou Caves, and Living Craft Center. Then, drive to Xieng Khouang to see the Plain Of Jars, an extraordinary piece of local history. After one night in Xieng Khouang, your family gets ready for a short flight to Vientiane – the capital city of Laos. Spend a sightseeing tour to Buddha Park – an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the Mekong Riverside meadow; Wat Si Saket, Haw Phra Kaew, Pha That Luang Stupa, and Patuxay Monument. - Viet Prestige Travel’s guide and driver will meet you at Noi Bai International Airport then transfer your family to the hotel in the city center.
- Stroll around Hanoi’s Old Quarter and explore the street gastronomy of this capital. Lots of specialties that you should try are egg coffee, Spring roll, bun cha (the dish Obama used to eat), Pho, La Vong Grilled Fish, Banh Mi, etc.

- After breakfast, have a full day today to explore Vietnam’s charming capital.
- Ho Chi Minh Complex includes his Mausoleum – the final resting place of Vietnamese’s great father – Uncle Ho and his personal residence – a stilt house that he lived on and off from 1958 to 1969, the One Pillar Pagoda and presidential palace.
- Tran Quoc Pagoda – the oldest temple in Thang Long – Hanoi, located on the shores of Lake West
- Temple of Literature – the first college of Vietnam for the sons of mandarins and the place dedicating to Confucian.
- Vietnamese Museum of Ethnology – a museum focusing on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam.
- Followed by a visit to Ngoc Son Temple nearby Hoan Kiem Lake then enjoy a one-hour rickshaw sight-seeing tour around Hanoi Old Quarter for great fun.

- The third day of Vietnam – Laos Family Holiday starts with a 2.5-hour drive to Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel, Ninh Binh.
- Upon arrival, visit two temples remaining from Hoa Lu’s time as an imperial capital – Dinh and Le Temples.
- Explore sites built by the Le and Dinh Dynasties, atmospheric temples that evoke Vietnam’s grand, pre-colonial culture.
- In the afternoon, board a rowboat along the Ngo Dong River, exploring the water-carved limestone caves along the way. This is the heart of the Trang An Landscape Complex UNESCO site, your family will enjoy dramatic views of the cliffs that erupt from the flat valley bottoms, lush rice paddies, and mountains.
- Return to shore for an hour-long bike ride through the villages and rice fields that surround Tam Coc, taking quiet roads that offer a serene experience of life in the Vietnamese countryside.
- Meet the driver at the end of the bike ride, and begin the return trip to Hanoi.

- In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ ethnic culture.
- Climb 328 steps to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa and enjoy the panoramic sunset views of the city.
- Take a one-hour walking tour to Luang Prabang Night Market, which opens from dusk until 10 p.m selling various kinds of souvenirs such as colorful textiles, carvings, ceramics, clothing, etc.

- Take a boat up along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves – two linked caves filled with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.
- On the way to come back, pay a visit to Living Crafts Centre, located on the bank of Mekong River, considered as the world of Laos handicrafts and textiles.
- Discover stunning giant Kuang Si Waterfalls that flows through the limestone-rich jungle and empties out into a series of three gently cascading pools.
- See up close Asiatic bears at the Bear Rescue Centre along the jungle walk to the waterfall.
- Make a stop at Ban Xang Hai, where Laos rice wine and rice whiskey is produced.

- After breakfast, drive about 6 to 7 hours to Xiengkhouang. Between 1964 and 1973 this whole area was devastated by American bombing and is the most bombed area per capita in the world.
- Next, move to see the Plain Of Jars, an extraordinary piece of local history. This megalithic archaeological landscape consists of hundreds of stone jars scattered around the upland valleys and the lower foothills of the central plain of the Xiangkhoang Plateau. The jars are arranged in clusters ranging in number from one to several hundred.
- Take time around the villages and old capital of Muang Khoun Province, which is home to the fascinating Hmong hill tribe people.
- Overnight in Phonsavanh.

- In the morning, make a visit to Phonsavanh Market to see local lives, we then visit MAG Office, where you can find information about sites and unexploded bombs in Laos.
- After that, transfer to Phonsavanh Airport for a short afternoon flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival in the country’s capital, move to your hotel in the city.
- Enjoy the free time relaxing and wandering around the city and in the evening, let’s go to Vientiane Night Market – a tourist market selling a wide range of things such as shoes, sunglasses, bags, and accessories.
- Moreover, there are various stalls near the market. These stalls sell Laotian food and drink at a very cheap price.

Pha That Luang Stupa, Vientiane
- After breakfast, first visit Wat Si Muang, which is very famous for its supernatural power.
- Next stop is Buddha Park – an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the Mekong Riverside meadow, next to the Friendship Bridge.
- There are approximately 200 religious images dating back over 500 years, which were created by a mysterious monk spreading his philosophy on life and revealing his ideas about the universe.
- Take a sightseeing tour of Vientiane to the religious museum of Wat Si Saket – the oldest temple from the Siamese war of 1828. The cloister and sim have been turned into a museum housing thousands of Buddha images. The museum includes over 10,000 images of the Buddha in various mudras.
- Right across the street is another Vientiane’s most important temples – Haw Phra Kaew. Its name derives from the Emerald Buddha. It then turned into the temple for Laos Royals and to enshrine the Emerald Buddha, which stayed here until 1779 before being taken to Thailand.
- Visit Pha That Luang Stupa – Lao’s most important Buddhist monument. The galleries on the inside of the cloister walls contain ancient Laos and Khmer artifacts like sculpting, statues, and inscribed steles.
- On the way, take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.
- Finish the tenth day of impressive Vietnam – Laos family exploration with a spectacular view over the Mekong River at sunset.

Buddha Park, Vientiane
- In the morning, be ready for an early flight to Pakse, the charming capital of the Champasak province in the south of Laos. This land is famous for the Bolaven Plateau and the Si Phan Don Islands.
- Drive to Saravanh Province via Tateng. On the way, the scenery is superb as we travel towards the Tad Fane waterfall – majestic double waterfall with a height of about 140 meters.
- Local farmers grow coffee, tea, cardamom, bananas and many other crops. Time will be made for you to wander off the beaten track to discover this lushly vegetated area.
- This part of your Laos vacation will give you a glimpse of the way of life on the Bolaven Plateau, a stunning location with numerous waterfalls, lush jungles and hiking trails.
- Upon arrival at the waterfall, we will visit the nearby villages of Alak, Nge and Katu.
- Overnight in Pakse.

- Make a short detour to visit Pha Suam waterfall and Lao Teung Villages and then stroll around the ethnic minority villages .
- Continue to drive to Champasak to visit Vat Phou Temple Complex, the pre-Angkorian. This UNSECO World Heritage site depicts the epitome of the high classical style of Khmer architecture dating from the 7th to 12th centuries. It includes the ancient city of Shestrapura and many little knowns but interesting sites along the banks of the Mekong River.
- Move our way to 4000 islands region and catch a ferry motor boat to Don Khong, the largest island in the southern part of the Mekong River region and one of the most scenic areas in Laos.
- Overnight in Don Khong.

- After having lunch, cross Mekong River by ferry boat to visit the largest waterfall in South-East Asia, Khone Phapheng. Nearby the waterfall, your family can see local people using traditional fishing techniques.
- Take a tuk-tuk or cycle passing through the old French wharf and along the old French railway, where some of the old colonial houses still stand.
- Relax at the Li Phi waterfall noted for its cascading emerald green waters, then head back by a long-boat to Ban Nakasang village.
- Overnight in Pakse after transferring back to this town.
