Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos Holiday with Kids is a dream trip for your family to discover Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos – the three countries created French Indochina in the past.  During 21 days, you and your kids will have a complete overview of the treasures of these three countries from the subtle mixture of cultural visits, gastronomic tastings and stunning natural beauty as well as regional crafts.

The trip lasts 12 days in Vietnam from the North to the South and starts  in historical Hanoi city – the capital city. The highlight of North Vietnam is Sapa – the symphony of the nature. Sapa’s ethnic culture and customs are the most beguiling things to experience. Occupying a majority, H’mong people appears the most in both of the town and the tiny hill-tribe villages, especially in Cat Cat Village. They used to wave brocade as the best traditional craft industry that is descended from generation to generation. Going with the sophisticated textile techniques, the brocade products is arranged for selling in many places in Sapa.

  • Let’s join sightseeing cruise on Perfume River which will take you a long ride through Truong Tien Bridge. It’s known as a symbol of Hue connecting two riverbanks of Perfume River.
  • The next stop of the cruise is Thien Mu Pagoda (The Pagoda of the Celestial Lady) – the oldest pagoda in Hue. With the height of 21 meters and seven storeys, Phuoc Duyen Pagoda becomes the most famous symbolic link with Thien Mu Pagoda. Moreover, other architectural structures such as Dai Hung, Dia Tang and Quan Am temples, the stone steles and bronze bells still retain.
  • Disembark the board for a visit to Royal Tomb of Khai Dinh, Royal Tomb of Tu Duc, Royal Tomb of Minh Mang – three more significantly popular than other four other tombs in Hue.
  • The crew moves to Phu Bai Airport in Hue for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

The architecture of Vinh Trang Pagoda is a harmonious combination of European and Asian architectures.
  • Glide past the delta islands by a leisurely boat along the river and make a stop at Phoenix, Unicorn, Tortoise and Dragon islet to explore the typical stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages on the riverbank; then enjoy seasonal fruit, honey tea and admire Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by locals.
  • Tour around the village roads through the green fields and gardens by “Xe Lôi” (Motorbike pulling cart) – one kind of tractor as well as the local’s daily vehicle.
  • Proceed to An Khanh village, Ben Tre and experience cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along canals.
  • Taste the sweet coconut tree candy and observe its manufacturing process at some families’ factories.

  • Try the culinary of this main trading center of Mekong Delta with bunch of food, drinks, household commodities, and local specialties such as fresh fruits (pineapple, mango, watermelon, coconut, etc.), fish sauce, coconut candy, and dried food.

  • The first stop of your family’s city tour around Phnom Penh is the royal palace of Cambodia – a complex of buildings that serves as the royal residence of the King of Cambodia.
  • Moonlight Pavillion serves as the stage for Khmer classical dance from the past to now. It can be easily seen from the outside since it was built along a section of the palace walls.
  • There are four main compounds divided by walls.
  • Silver Pagoda is on the south side. Its main building includes many national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues. Other structures surrounding the main building are the statue of King Norodom, the library, the bell tower and a small model of Angkor Wat.
  • Khemarin Palace meaning “the Palace of the Khmer King” is to the north side. It’s an official residence of the King of Cambodia.
  • – The central part is Throne Hall where the king’s confidants, generals and royal officials once carried out their duty. Currently, it’s used as a place for religious and royal ceremonies as well as a meeting place for guests of the King.
  • – To the west is Inner Court or the private sector.

  • Starting this day with Angkor Wat temple – the largest monument in the world built from the early 12th century and the symbol of Cambodia. This Hindu temple complex is dedicated to the God Vishnu for the Khmer Empire. It’s a miniature replica of the universe in stone and represents an earthly model of the cosmic world. There are five towers rising from the centre of the monument correspond to the peaks of Meru.
  • Then, move to Angkor Thom, which is famous for Bayon Temple – the ancient complex, consisting of 54 towers and more than two hundred smiling Buddha faces.
  • Continue the tour to Ta Prohm Temple – a jungle temple covered with the huge trees and the massive roots growing out of the walls.
